  9. Select/Except is a program intended to simplify the use of AmigaDOS
  10. patterns. Using Select, you can interactively select via a GUI the
  11. files you want to execute a certain command on. Handy to use with
  12. commands that do not support patterns themselves, or to perform
  13. complex operations like renaming a bunch of files from xxx.zzz to
  14. xxx_old.zzz.

  16. - Select lets you execute a command on a subset of the files matching
  17.   a given pattern;
  18.  
  19. - Except lets you execute a command on a subset of the files NOT
  20.   matching a given pattern.

  22. This is an old program (1993), but it is still useful and never found
  23. its way onto Aminet.
